Question:
Agree or Disagree: The vast majority of countries in Latin America are 3rd world countries with high crime rates because...?
2018-04-27 23:03:11 UTC
they're all multicultural societies?

Since there was so many arguments over how a multicultural society would never work (especially not in Europe or East Asia) because it would cause more division among citizens and hatred between them in their own countries over simple cultural disagreement, I wonder if you guys feel that the majority of Latin America has their high amount of violent crime rates because they're a multicultural society and should aim to be more homogeneous (like for instance, make the country predominantly more American Indian and let the Indigenous build their own systems and rebuild their civilizations again to see how it will turn on in the modern day of humanity).

Agree.

Most Latin Americans sit around in bars sipping beer, and invariably the subject of multi-culturalism comes up.

This leads to obvious disagreement, fights, and all the participants deciding to go on crime sprees, rather than talk it out.

This would never happen in China.

Agree.

This is what comes from "diversity".

Excellent question, by the way.

Disagree, they are indeed third world, but that is more because of lack of resources and corruption.

Disagree....

If you study true "culture" rather than get lost in racial and ethnic constructs, you'll note that the nations with high levels of corruption and crime actually share a similar, pretty rigidly-defined social structure.

Much of this dates back to how these nations were treated by the colonial "parents." The vast majority of colonies in Anglo America were "settlement" colonies...in addition to owners, they attracted farmers, tradesmen, entrepreneurs and many others seeking a new life. These people built social and economic structures from which they all drew benefits.

Latin American colonies, on the other hand, were generally "resource" colonies...they were settled by an ownership class who exploited the native population for the sole benefit of the ownership class back home. In short, there were only "masters and servants".

When Spanish and Portuguese authority receded, there was nothing to fill the authority void but the old world caste system they had left behind. One of these off shoots is the notion that the Law and justice applies only to the ownership class. For the rest, there are only the laws of nature....survival of the fittest, to the victor go the spoils, etc.

This is the unified "culture" that persists across many Latin American countries today. Crime in the slums and corruption in the government is simply an extension of the Old World caste system.

Garbage in, Garbage out

Your basic premise is garbage because it wrongly believes that America is a monocultural society;and nothing could be further from the truth

Ring the bell, because it's time to school your sorry @ss about Multiculturalism.

First off, you're confusing two very different things. Nations with different people from all over are Ethnically Diverse.

Multiculturalism is a Canadian-invented system for integrating immigrants into a united and unified nation.

Thus far, only Canada actually has it. Nobody else implemented everything necessary to make it work properly.

But that's their own damn fault for screwing up like retards. And it's why it doesn't work anywhere but Canada.

Canada first invented Biculturalism to bridge the gap between its French and English founding cultures:

Then Canada invented Multiculturalism to bridge the gaps with the Rest Of Canada:

That's the power and success of Canadian Multiculturalism in action.

Those are the facts of the matter, not the babbling retard nonsense you bizarrely thought it was.

Latin America is recently in the news due to an extremely high rate of crime, specifically murder. It's not driven by multiculturalism or lack of a homogeneous society. The crime is driven by poverty and a corresponding lack of value for human life. Most of us in Western Culture would not be able to sleep if we took another human life. But if you are poor, hungry, desperate, with no future, what does it matter.

Many of the dear leaders of poorly running countries have been influenced by 'American' Democrats. Jimmy Carter and his 'institute' counted the votes for Hugo, And Fidel fundraised among the Democrats on Park Avenue.
