He has 30 odd discworld novels?

Which was the best and most theatrical?

I have my own ideas and will vote for the best answer.

Come on, a 30-1 chance, the only better odds are a million to one, but he has a lot more books to write first.

Gillingham was to make Good Omens, left by the way side with the budget downfall of Don Quixote .

Think it would make an excellent film, but not entirely Pratchett (co author Neil Gaiman)

Any of the genres, meaning Watch, Witches etc would work well... but thinking start with Guards Guards, introduce Ankh Morpork, The Watch & Death... then make may sequals.

Another great question man.

PS> Just thinking, after Tolkien & CS lewis, novels as films sell. & more the technology is there to pull it off. Imagine the greater dragon (did she have a name) & the swamp dragons, Earl with personality :o)

I think Guards Guards would be a reasonable introduction to the wacky world of Terry P.. it contains a large amount of established characters, would lend itself to sequels AND has a dragon in it (almost essential in grabbing the 'post-harry potter'audience)

If budgetry constraints were imposed you could always film reaper man as a sort of 'rutger hauer in a robe goes on holiday and doesn't kill anybody' flick..

I always thought Equal Rites had a lot of potential. Imagine a camera shot looking out of the fireplace with a closeup of Granny with Esk in the background as she says, "You can't do any real magic, can you?"

Well, naturally, the odds on favorite is "The Last Hero", it's almost story-boarded. But "Hogfather" or "Feet of Clay" would be the ones I'd like to see.

Good Omens definitely. Even though Neil Gaiman co-wrote it it would make a kick a$$ movie.
