Very Simple

A) you gave me 30 rupees

B) Your billed amount is Rs. 25

C) I returned you 3 rupees

D) I keep 2 rupee with me

E) Balance is =(A-B)-(C+D)

=0

let us see the other side...

total amount is 28 (25+3)

Two rupees are in supplier's pocket thus 28+2=30

No issues

The three guys spent 27 rupees out of which the cashier got 25 and the supplier ( waiter? ) pocketed two. That totales to 25+2= 27 rupees. So where is the problem? Think of something better.

Bill was Rs. 25 and Rs. 2 tip for the waiter

25 + 2 = 27

They spent Rs. 27.

you don't add the 2 to the 27. you subtract it from 27 to get the total amount they paid.

the men each got one dollar back, assuming they have already paid. take that three, and two to it, making 5. subtract 5 from thirty and you get 25 - the cost of the room

25/3=8.333333333333

So each man spent 8.333333333 each?
